If you can’t even use the right term for stretching, you shouldn’t be doing anything as heavy as stretching cartilage.

It’s fine, just 6 months per mm and don’t expect it to be as pain free and easy as lobe stretching. Tape wrap method works best for this.

I know professionals who call it gauging. i know people who safely gauge who call it gauging. it’s just another fucking term can you please be an adult and answer their question without getting into semantics for fuck sake IT’S A GODDAMN TERM. Let’s just iron this out here. A gauge is a UNIT OF MEASUREMENT, USED FOR MEASURING WIRES. 

So, let’s rephrase your answer to its real meaning, replacing one unit of measurement for another “I know people who safely millimeter who call it millimetering” Makes no sense at all now does it? Well? Neither does using the word gauge as a noun and verb. 

It doesn’t have the same meaning at all. If someone says ‘I’m going to gauge my ears’ We translate it to ‘I’m going to standardised American unit of wire my ears’ We say someone’s stretching their ears, well, they’re stretching their ears. 

Same goes for gauging. You’re going to Standardised American Unit Of Wire-ing your ears? Riiiiiight.

INB4, you say call stretching gauging, reevaluate your life and learn how to do it properly, and learn how the English language works.
